Introduction to "Night" chapters 1 and 2

Chapter 1: Respond to these questions with your own posting to my blog. Responses may range from 1-3 sentences and beyond if you feel like adding more detail. 1. What is your reaction to Moché the Beadle? What do you think about his treatment by the
villagers after his return from Poland?

2. Describe Wiesel’s community at the beginning of the story. How does young Elie view
the world and his place in it?

3. What are some incidents that suggest or foreshadow the coming danger to the Sighet
Jews? Why doesn’t the community believe it is in danger?
